Batch HAZOP of Vanilin Process Indesso Aroma – Mar-2021

Indesso as a leading manufacturer of food, flavor, and fragrance ingredients provides wide range of aroma ingredients which includes vanillin (ex-eugenol). Indesso Company Policy stipulated that Indesso committed to adhere to the highest standards in the prevention of environmental damage, worker health, and safety. Therefore, Indesso intends to conduct Hazard and Operability (HAZOP) Study as part of implementation action to proactivelly manage the risk.

A Hazard and Operability (HAZOP) review has been conducted for Vanilin Process. PT Indesso Aroma has appointed PT Lebah Solusi Indonesia (LebSolution) to facilitate the HAZOP study. This HAZOP Study is to review existing Vanillin Process facilities, including associated impact to surrounding existing facilities.

The HAZOP study workshop for Vanillin Process PT Indesso Aroma was carried out on 14-18 March 2021 (4 days workshop) and conducted at PT Indesso Aroma, Cileungsi Plant. The HAZOP team member consists of LebSolution facilitators (Ir Lukmanul Hakim, IPM as Chairman and Beny Destiawan, ST, SFS and Hamam Sahroni, ST, CFSP as Scribes) and representatives from PT Indesso Aroma from various disciplines: Process Engineer, Production Engineer, Aromatic Production, Maintenance, QHSE, and Process Safety.
