Best time in reducing process safety risk in a major hazard facility is during the initial conceptual and basic design phase. During that stage, the potential of having major accident hazard can be eliminated and/or reduced to its lowest possible and practicable risk, by applying the “Inherently Safer Design (ISD)” principle.
One of enablers to have the ISD principle applied properly is by having knowledgeable/competent management and workforce team on the ISD principle, as early as possible in the project life cycle. Having said that, the management of PHE Nunukan has decided to elevate and/or refresh the understanding of the project team about Process Safety and Process Safety Management prior to development of its Oil&Gas production facilities.
So by the time the field is developed and the plant is designed, the personnel has at least aware about the process safety aspect of their activities and can appreciate the relevant risks thus putting proper attention on how to mitigate the process safety risk early in the design phase. By that approach, the risk minimization will be more effective and more cost efficient (rather than fixing something after it is being constructed and/or operated).
To deliver the above approach, based on the proven track record of LebSolution delivery in the PSM area including to other PHE group of companies, PHE Nunukan has engaged LebSolution to deliver the PSM Training which has been conducted in July 2019.
The training was running very well with very energetic and enthusiastic participants. It is again proving that LebSolution PSM Training are high quality program which successfully engaged the participants. Serious and smiling faces, high tension and relax debate among the participants, were created within the 2 days exciting learning experiences.
On behalf of LebSolution, I would like to thanks PHE Nunukan management team and workforce team for their trust to LebSolution.
See you in the next NOT for the next subjects.
Thanks and best regards,
